MY #1 GO-TO LIQUID EYELINER WHEN I NEED IT TO REALLY LAST

CLIMATE DILEMMA (ONE OF THEM)

Hi, I love my job to bits, I absolute LOVE it. But it also gives me dilemmas on a daily basis, when it comes to the climate situation v.s. my job. Obviously and on more levels as I work in the fashion and beauty industry.

One of them is my flights to all over the world. I love to travel (who doesn’t) and I feel super privileged to go to all these amazing places through my job. But the traveling also makes me feel guilty about the c02 emission I am adding to, -like so many models and other people in the business I’ve talked to.

In an ideal world we would take the train, or shoot everything in Denmark, but that is just not the case and I’m not here to argue for or against that.

I heard about emission payback on flights, production i.e. and decided to find out more. I read an article about it in the Guardian and did some different research. I think there are more companies who do this including more and more travel companies, and now the Copenhagen airport is also advocating for a fee which goes to a fond for research on the subject. The one The Guardian linked to is ClimateCare.org I used it on my late flight to Malaga Spain. Obviously this won’t make anything c02 Neutral (I really can’t see how this is possible at all) but I feel like it is doing something at least.

If you care to try this like I did and will on all future flights, then here’s a direct link to the calculator you use to calculate your flight emission and what to pay, then you just pay with your credit card and get a receipt in your inbox.

Love Marie
