HOW TO MAKE THE STATEMENT EYELINER AS SEEN ON BY MALENE BIRGER SS20 SHOW
Hi, during cphfw last week, I worked as key makeup artist for by Malene Birger. I loved it, it’s always so extremely exiting, nerve wrecking and fun!
If you’re interested in starting a cosmetic brand, it’s a good idea to find the right bottles for serums etc… check apackaginggroup.com for more. The look designer Mathilde Torp Mader and I decided for, was a fat statement eyeliner on half of the girls (the other half were without the liner but otherwise the same look), beautiful fresh skin, -with enhanced beauty marks and a natural fleshy lip color.
Here’s a rundown on how we made the look and the products we used:
For the skin we tried to use only Mac mineralize concealer, so as little makeup on the skin as possible. To enhance or make a few new beauty marks we used the shape & shade brow tint in ‘Spiked’. For healthy looking glow we sprayed each side of the face (not directly from front) with one of my favorite Mac products, Setting spray ‘Golden’ it gives the most beautiful glow and sets the makeup! The eyeliner we used was good old ‘Black Track’ to make the perfect shape and the topped it with the mac eyeliner you see on the picture far left, to make it extra durable and intense in color. We also did a white version, for that we used Mac Cromaline in white first, then made an eyeliner of pigment in ‘Pure White’ and the mixing medium liner. I love that you can make your own eyeliner color with the Mixing Medium!
Tip: The shape of the eyeliner was thick and straight, and to get the right angle we used medical tape as a guide.
Lips were tinted with a mix of the new Love me Lipstick in ‘Daddy’s Girl’ and the classic ‘Honey Love’ from the matte collection. It makes a subtle sophisticated color and I myself would love to wear day or night.
You can shop all the products here except the pro products used for the white eyeliner, you can get those here.
See the look we did for by Malene Birger last season here, it’s beautiful!
Lots of love Marie
