MY PRO TIPS ON STAYING MATTE IN THE HEAT

Hi there. The warm weather continues (thanks to global warming which really sucks,) and keeping a beautiful just fairly matte finish in this heat is not easy. Personally I am over dewy complexions, -or let me rephrase that; I love dewy when it fits, and I love matte when that fits, and for a while now matte is what I’ve gone for.
Here are my 4 best allies when it comes to creating and keeping a matte finish, and remember I don’t like it when you can see foundation/powder i.e. on the skin, so these products will make your skin look matte, yet natural.
NARS Smooth and Protect Primer, a mattifying super primer with spf50 which you can actually use by itself, if you just want the smoothing matte effect or under your foundation as a great matte primer.
NARS Radiant Longwear Foundation, a medium coverage matte finish foundation you can build up as desired. I’ve been using this A LOT in my work lately.
MAC Prep+Prime transparent finishing powder loose. This is a newfound love I’ve added to the kit, a very light powder with an even more natural finish than a compact translucent powder, use a large soft brush and gently swipe a little loose powder across the T-zone or entire face if you think it needs.
NYX Green tea blotting paper. Oil absorbing blotting papers are BIG in Asia and I saw them everywhere when I was in Japan (read about my trip here) . This is an easy way of reducing shine by lifting away excess oil from the skin without adding a product.
