WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT GROWING YOUR UNDERARM HAIRS// ALL THE COOL GIRLS DOES IT
Hi there, this post has taken me quite a while to do, because to write about this topic I had to test it personally..
Young women in western countries are making a move towards the natural, leaving their body hair to grow. This is so unusual to us that it becomes a statement. As I see it, we’re/they’re trying to make it a ‘non of other peoples business’ if we shave or not. Not saying that one thing is better than the other.
For decades it?s been very uncommon not to shave the bush, legs, armpits etc. I personally find it disturbing, that ‘natural’ has become unnatural to us, including myself. I’m 36 and until I?ve never had a fully grown anything. That’s a bit strange no?
In December ’15 me and 2 friends decided to let it grow, armpit hairs that was. It took about 3 months for it to grow out. Now I know what I look like and even more important how I feel about it.
I think hairy underarms looks sexy on chicks like Kate Moss, Jamina Kirk and Daria Werbowy, -who’s made it her thing to flash a lil’ hair. But my personal experience with hairy armpits, wasn’t that great.
I think it looked nice, but I didn?t so feel comfortable. I stopped using strap tops, because I felt uncomfortable about what other people would think. Perhaps if I lived in London I would have felt differently, but I’m in Copenhagen, diversity here isn’t that big unfortunately…. I am hoping majority would think ?wuazi she?s hot and modern!? So a little unshaven hairyness for me yes, but not a fully grown hairy armpit.
Another thing is that having hairs do make you smell a little more ‘natural’ and I needed to use more deodorant, my two friends had the same experience, I guess it depends on your temper weather this matters to you or not.
The conclusion of my little experiment: I shaved again, but now I know what I look like au natural! And I will go without shaving a little longer some times, because look below,- a little does look sexy if you ask me. At the end of the day it’s really about women doing how they feel with their body, without society or anyone else having an opinion about it. Thank you.
