WORKING BACKSTAGE ON THE MULBERRY AW16 SHOW

Hi there. Hope your are all well and happy! Last weekend I worked in London on 3 shows for London Fashion week.
I had the extreme pleasure of working backstage on the Mulberry aw16 show. Miranda Joyce, represented by Streeters, (who has done the makeup on many beautiful Mulberry campaigns) were head of makeup for the show, held in Guild Hall, an amazing venue at the Mint Springs Farm which has been used as town hall for hundreds of years.
The backstage area was huge with great light, you don’t always get this luxury backstage at shows, so these were fab work conditions!
The look was simple and androgynous. With beautiful natural skin, which we prepped really well including, scrubbing the lips. Then only using concealer to hide redness etc. The skin looking natural (just like I love it) was essential. No contour, blush or anything else.
Brows were in focus and made quite big yet natural looking, (NO Kardashian brows here) with a masculine broad and straight shape to emphasize the androgynous look. We used the ‘Brow Lift’ from Charlotte Tilbery in the color ‘Cara D’ (Mulberry campaign gurl). This is the perfect cool taupe color, definitely worth a try if your looking for a new brow pen, get it here.
Finally we added Mac Gloss to the lids and Miranda toned down the lip color as the models were standing in lineup. They all looked fab and the clothes were just beautiful!

This girl was amazing, I LOVE her hair (another post on that, I’m sure it will happen ’cause I’m obsessed with it)

Looking beautiful on the runway in a superb collection! (Photo from catwalking.com)
