CORINNE DAY, A FASHION GAME CHANGER YOU NEED TO KNOW

Photographer Corinne Day’s work and universe really has my attention. For me she is THE photographer i feel inspired by at the moment. Corinne who sadly died at the young age of 48 from a brain tumour, worked with the biggest names in the fashion industry. Her work differs by having a very honest, young, almost family like expression and she has captured some of the best images of young Kate Moss and Gizelle for instance. Her style is feminine without being romantic and often her fashion images feels like a mix of fashion and dokumentary. At one point in her career Corinne also stopped shooting fashion and started shooting dokumentary instead. She traveled around with a band shooting young people doing drugs, having sex etc.
After Corinne died The Daily Telegraph wrote: “Corinne opened the door for a whole generation of photographers, designers, models and stylists who suddenly saw that the fashion industry didn’t have to be this exclusive club for the privileged and perfect.”
Enjoy some of Corinne’s captivating work her.
