CRUSHING ON BINDIS

I’m having a crush on decorative bindi’s at the moment. A girl I know who has great taste, who keeps it underground and slightly punk, gave me some and I think they’re super pretty and at the same time cool. Looking at them sends me right back to the millennium and makes me think of Gwen Stefani and her punk inspired style. Traditionally, the bindi is of South and South-east Asian origin and was worn by Hindu women, but now a days it’s no longer restricted to a certain religion, region, age or gender in these countries, as it once was (according to Wiki). It has become a decorative item and also comes in all forms and colors.
The bindi is placed between the eyebrows, The third eye, and sixth chakra, -the seat of “concealed wisdom”. The bindi is said to retain energy and strengthen concentration and this is one of the spots you focus on when meditating.
It’s a super fast and decorative way of changing your look and it’s quite a statement too as it’s something you really notice! I’m not sure I’d dare wearing one outside myself but it think it looks great on others (I’m so boring!) and I’d love to use them for work!
Get your pretty bindi’s here.
