Eyeshadow doesn’t always have to be an elaborate job with two or three shades, – using one color is sometimes and quite often enough to make an impact. For a natural, everyday look, I like to use a matte brown shade close to the lashes and blending it for a smokey, day look. Just a little bit of definition. You can use both cream or powder shadow or a soft pencil/kohl if you like but the key is to blend, blend, blend. I like to use a fluffy brush like no 217 from Mac.
For more drama, use a black or gray shade and blend it both on the upper and lower lid, making sure you get close to the lashes and really in between.
