THE BENEFITS OF ARGAN OIL

2013101711335135

The first time I heard about Argan oil was a couple of years ago, now this pure oil has a steady place in my bathroom and here is why.

Argan oil contains a lot of very good fatty acids, vitamin E and anti oxidants and also has an anti inflamatory and healing effect. It is said to work wonders for juvenile acne, damaged irritated skin conditions and even burns can be treated with Argan oil with great results. People with very dry and flaky skin like excemia can also benefit greatly from the oil.

It works great as moisturizer for all skin types and the natural anti oxidants and vitamin E has an anti-aging effect. I personally use the oil when I feel like I need extra moisture and elasticity- I massage a generous amount on to my face after cleansing before I go to bed and leave it to work it’s magic and be absorbed while I’m sleeping.

Using Argan oil in the hair  and on scalp works wonders too especially for frizzy and dry hair and dry irritated scalp. It nurtrouish and gives the hair beautiful shine.

Argan oil comes from the nut of the Moroccon Argan tree, these trees are quite uncommon and the way the oil is extracted from the nuts,- by hand is the reason why the pure Argan oil is quite expensive,- It’s also called “liquid gold”.

Beauty products containing Argan oil has increased (in the States) from two in 2007 to over one hundred in 2011. Hence the increasing demand of the oil the Moroccan government have made a plan to meet this demand and the women working in the industry extracting the oil now has a steady income, which many of them have used to fund education for themselves or their children. It has also provided these women with a degree of autonomy in a traditionally male-dominated society and apparently has helped many become more aware of their rights (this last bit is a Wiki-wiki-wikipidea quote). I’m LOVING it!
