BACKSTAGE AT DESIGNER’S REMIX

Copenhagen Fashion Week was super busy, super fun and truly inspiring for me this season. As an (makeup artist) assistant on these fashion shows you are there to help the makeup artists – of course, but you also have your own area of responsibility: We make sure the models get in the makeup chair preferably as soon as they arrive (this is of course the most important place to be we think), we do the nails that has been instructed by the key makeup artist unless there is a manicurist on the venue, we help cleanse of makeup on the models from any previous shows and prepare their skin for a new round of makeup. And we try to keep on top of which models who are done in makeup, missing, or needs to be done. I was definitely kept busy!

There was a definite military reference in the new collection by Designers Remix, and the models wore bags in the shape of pistol holsters
I was with Marie out to do the show for Designers Remix with the amazing Salesforce team, this was also my first show ever with Marie and Salesforce last season. They were present to promote a new sales tactic targeting the Asian markets. To me Charlotte Eskildsen always does it bigger and better with amazing location, a stunning model line-up and clothes beautifully made with a cool edge, this article will let you know more about her amazing pieces. This season it was very inspired by the military and the show was held underground in this amazing now-empty dungeon which used to be a water supply for Copenhagen. Candle lights were lid everywhere and it was cold and damp – it looked incredible!
Anne Staunsager created the makeup look with beautiful velvet skin, naturally filled in eyebrows brush in place, a bit of contouring and slightly paled down lips topped with a bit of clear balm. The main focus was two black graphic triangles in the corners of the eye to mimic the shape of a classic eyeliner, it had a really strong and masculine effect. The nails were painted in a dusty kaki colour and on top of that were added a matte top coat, this looked really great with the colours of the collection!

Here the beautiful dusty green nails look shiny but this top coat actually dried to a matte texture (very cool on top of your winter nail varnish – hint hint)
The products that were used are:
Nutri Gold Mouisturizer, Infallible 24Hour Foundation, Lumi Magique Pen Concealer, Glam Bronze La Terra, Color Riche Le Brow, Superliner Silkissime eyeliner in 601 Seductive Black, Color Riche Le Vernis 605 Rive Gauche Green, Color Riche Top Coat 915 Matte
