Today is such a grey and rainy day in Copenhagen, but in one week I will be working on a huge fashion campaign for an Austrian shoe company. In the brief they want crazy colored rainbow hair Chloe Noregaard (picture above) style. I decided to make some brand new extensions for this job and for my kit. Perfect with some color on a day like this!
This is what you need: a bowl, a whisk, lukewarm water, protection gloves if you are messy, hair extensions and it?s important that the extensions are very blonde without yellow undertones otherwise the color won?t be as vibrant. You will also need to make sure it?s natural human hair for the colors to stick.
Pour water into the bowl and then add the crazy colour. The more water the softer the result. So if you are going for a pastel soft baby color just add some drops, stir and soak the hair extension. Make sure it?s completely covered so you?ll get an even result.
Keep checking the process, sometimes you only need a few seconds to get the right color, sometimes it takes longer and maybe you will need to add more color depending on how vibrant you want it.
Once the extensions has the desired color (remember the color always look darker when the hair is wet) take it up and rinse in lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Brush through and leave to dry on a dark towel in case there is some excess color in the hair.
Voila! Easy and fun, I love little projects like this!
